Some of my favorite books have been made into movies or TV series. Lord of the a Rings, Hitchhiker’s Guide, Eragon, Stardust and so many more. I think it would be amazing to see my stories on the big screen, although I am also apprehensive about it. People stop reading and just watch, and too many of them don’t listen to those who say, “they changed it.” I would go crazy if too much was changed for the movie… I would be on the set driving the director crazy, and I wouldn’t want them doing things without my permission and input…. Lorata is my baby, after all. Still, all that doting aside, I would be thrilled if my series was loved enough for someone to want to film it.
I have always dreamed of casting Sir Loracaz III for Peter Steele. The height, the long hair, the demeanor and body are all perfect. Peter was perfect. Now that he’s passed away… well, we’ll just have to find someone big who looks just like Peter Steele.
Loracaz III is the only one that I ever had a definite idea of a role for. I never really wanted all the big, famous names…. Maybe Alan Rickman, but I don’t know what role. I like to think that we could find fresh faces to fill the roles, and maybe some are even fans. A writer can dream, can’t she? Overall, it would be a very diverse cast. Onsira and Rrevihn are not that much different from most of Europe and England (in a very general way, I admit). Elves from Thiizav and Marrzil would be more along the lives of East Europe and West Asia; dark hair and pale skin, among other things. Jzienfiarm Desert has a Middle-Eastern feel. Mithkyn and Kaj’Darem…somewhat European, but with a lot of diversity and a few tweaks here and there. Shyal’In Forest elves would look very Native American. Cioria would be a lot like the UK. Again, i certainly don’t have any direct correlation; these are just hints for the look and feel.
Still, before I get a movie deal, I need to get published… back to writing, and wondering who would be perfect to play as Starshine.
