Blackthorne from “My Gothic Boyfriend”

Emory Draven Thorne, AKA “Blackthorne,” from “My Gothic Boyfriend.”

If you’re past chapter 100 of The House of the Seventh Minuet, you’ve met him by now, and you know about his connection with Tierney Ríocht. He was also mentioned a few dozen chapters ago.

His favorite topics? Engineering, both electrical and computer. He can do a lot of repairs and write some code.

Favorite foods? He’s not very picky, but he is partial to anything with green tea flavoring. He tries to eat somewhat healthy, but not to any extreme.

Favorite drink? Green Tea

Favorite band? Type O Negative, and pretty much any goth/metal band — just like Justin!

Favorite person? Little Moon

Other favorites? Fantasy, science-fiction, & horror novels

College? University of California, Sacramento

Birthday: January 3

Note: His hair is naturally a dark auburn, but he usually dyes it black.

Emory was one year ahead of Justin in school, but they were always best friends. He took AP and honors classes in science and math, and graduated among the top of his class. A lot of people see him as stoic and reserved, but also kind and respectful. He keeps quiet about his sex life, and as a result, he’s often mistaken as being inexperienced, though in actuality, he knows what he’s doing. Emory has a special family dynamic that’s explained in “My Gothic Boyfriend,” but the one he’s most secretive about is his paternal grandfather; you’ll find out why as you read the story.

About Legends of Lorata

Eleanor Willow is the author of the high fantasy series Legends of Lorata, which takes place on a medieval-style world filled with elves, dragons, and faeries. There is also a fourth race, one that is rare and magical: the angelic Starr. Lorata is a distant planet watched over by four deities: good, evil, elemental, and celestial-- and there are plenty of legends about them all! One of the most important ones is the prophecy of Jenh's champion, Loracaz, who is promised to return to the realm whenever evil threatens to take hold. There are currently three books completed, and the first one can be read online. Book four is currently being written, and a fifth will most likely be in the future.
