Nation Novel Writing Month

Wow, readers, it’s actually November already!

What have you been up to lately? I hope your Halloween was fun. My children and I carved pumpkins, and I passed out candy while they trick-or-treated. Great fun was had by all.

But November… and NaNoWriMo… I feel a but under-prepared and overwhelmed this year, but let’s roll with it. If you follow me on NaNoWriMo.org, you’ve probably noticed that I’ve taken a break for a couple years. I mean, I write all the time anyway, and 50,000 words in quite a commitment. But this year I have some new friends, and some of them participate, so I’m joining in.

You’ll probably see less art this month. I have drawn most of the characters I care to for now– I do want to draw Larsa (he’s such a sweetie) but that might not be till next month.

This year I’m working on “The House of the Seventh Minuet” for NaNoWriMo. The serial updates will still be twice each week, but completing 50K words will help me get a bunch of entries ready for future posting. I know some authors don’t work like that, but I do, especially since I’m going to need to do a lot of editing– you may or may not know that NaNoWriMo encourages lots of writing and little to no editing.

It’s back to writing for me, so enjoy the NaNoWriMo site and check out the video playlist for the NaNo Musical below!

About Legends of Lorata

Eleanor Willow is the author of the high fantasy series Legends of Lorata, which takes place on a medieval-style world filled with elves, dragons, and faeries. There is also a fourth race, one that is rare and magical: the angelic Starr. Lorata is a distant planet watched over by four deities: good, evil, elemental, and celestial-- and there are plenty of legends about them all! One of the most important ones is the prophecy of Jenh's champion, Loracaz, who is promised to return to the realm whenever evil threatens to take hold. There are currently three books completed, and the first one can be read online. Book four is currently being written, and a fifth will most likely be in the future.
