Noir beasts
By popular request, I have drawn up an image of the noir beasts. For the concept, I was thinking of something along the line of a mud or tar monster and some kind of shadow beast. I have yet to add color to this sketch, and it’s just a basic idea.
As you have read, they a black, made of mucus and muck, stick and slow and dumb. All the same, they are set on their goals and will attack relentlessly. They do not care about self-preservation, leaving the defenders of Summerlay to wonder what motivates them.
I made two different versions here. As the story progresses, you will see why. For now, enjoy the sketch, and happy reading!

About Legends of Lorata
Eleanor Willow is the author of the high fantasy series Legends of Lorata, which takes place on a medieval-style world filled with elves, dragons, and faeries. There is also a fourth race, one that is rare and magical: the angelic Starr.
