A lovely day it is!

shu-giri & venes chibi color

In honor of the legalization of marriage for same-sex couples, I drew this chibi version of Vénes and Shu-Giri, my couple from Legends of Lorata.  (It took me the rest of the day after my errands were done, hence the late posting)

Shu-Giri, the elf on the left, is from a whimsical forest full of magic.  And crystals; he would not want me to forget the crystals.  Vénes is a sorcerer whose father was a desert elf, and his mother… well, she was a sorceress, but the rest remains to be said in Book One.  They meet while Vénes is on a quest with some other characters, and Shu-Giri was quite taken by him.

I posted a quote by Shu-Giri from Book Two quite a while back, and his words still ring true today.  “Love is love.”  That will always be true.

From your ally, congratulations, and keep on fighting the good fight!

About Legends of Lorata

Eleanor Willow is the author of the high fantasy series Legends of Lorata, which takes place on a medieval-style world filled with elves, dragons, and faeries. There is also a fourth race, one that is rare and magical: the angelic Starr. Lorata is a distant planet watched over by four deities: good, evil, elemental, and celestial-- and there are plenty of legends about them all! One of the most important ones is the prophecy of Jenh's champion, Loracaz, who is promised to return to the realm whenever evil threatens to take hold. There are currently three books completed, and the first one can be read online. Book four is currently being written, and a fifth will most likely be in the future.
