This is the character I’ve been writing about lately. He is moody, dark, and utterly unhappy with life. There are few people who were every really there for him, and two of them are dead. The other one is someone he’s afraid to be with for fear of hurting her; not to mention that her father hates him. Be was born with the Zeah (magic) of fire, but he can also use the dark art of Métius. He wants nothing more then for his pain to end, and to become prince, as is his birthright.

I edited this picture before placing it online. In my notebook, there is text in that box. It’s about his magical abilities. On Lorata, there are five paths that one can take as far as magic goes. The first four represent the four gods, and the fifth is for sorcery, which is the ability to use all four schools of magic. With Zarrek, he is going against the way things were meant to be; most elves, dragons and faeries live their lives with only one type of magic, but he defies that. Rather than trade his fire in for dark power, he studies both, but he suffers a lot for trying to hang onto both. Eventually he lets someone teach him a little celestial magic, but it’s very draining for him. To become a sorcerer means the magic doesn’t hurt the body as much, but there are several rites you’d have to go through in order to begin to walk that path. You have to balance all four schools of magic, but at least they don’t fight one another within the body. Zarrek is the only one he knows of who does what he does with magic.
